The 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User and Refresher Training (SCA-211) is a NYC Department of Buildings (DOB)-approved safety course required for all construction workers and supervisors who work on or near supported scaffolds at job sites in New York City.

The training is delivered via a live Zoom session by a DOB-approved instructor and covers all required topics including scaffold types, proper setup, safe usage, hazard recognition, accident prevention, fall protection, and NYC DOB regulations.

Upon successful completion and document submission, you will receive the Worker Wallet Card with the 4-hour course completion linked to it – required for anyone working on supported scaffolds in NYC.

No. There is no exam for the 4-Hour Supported Scaffold User Training. You only need to attend the full live session and submit the required documents to receive your Worker Wallet Card.

The Supported Scaffold User training linked to the Worker Wallet Card is valid for 4 years. There is no refresher course option - once expired, the full 4-hour training must be retaken to receive a new card.

Once the live session is completed and all required documents are submitted and verified, a digital copy of your Worker Wallet Card will be emailed within 2 business days and the physical card will be delivered within one week.

No. 4-Hour Supported Scaffold Training is open to all NYC construction workers regardless of whether they hold the SST card. If you have a 40-Hour or 62-Hour SST card, include a photo of it when submitting your documents, but it is not required to enroll.
