What is the Expired SST Card Renewal Package?

If your SST Worker or Supervisor card has expired, you must complete the required SST training to renew it. According to NYC Department of Buildings (DOB) regulations, this renewal package allows workers and supervisors to renew their expired SST cards online through self-paced training that meets full DOB compliance requirements under Local Law 196 of 2017.

How This Package Works for an Expired 40-Hour SST Card

If your 40-Hour SST card expired and your OSHA 30-Hour card is also more than 5 years old, you will need to complete 18 hours of training: the 10-Hour SST plus the 8-Hour SST Worker Refresher. • NYC SST 10-Hour Site Safety Training
  • SST 8-Hour Worker Refresher (OSHA 30 Renewal)

How This Package Works for an Expired 62-Hour SST Card

If your 62-Hour SST card expired and your OSHA 30-Hour card is also more than 5 years old, you will need to complete 40 hours of training: the 32-Hour SST plus the 8-Hour SST Worker Refresher. DOB allows the 8-Hour Worker Refresher SST course to count as an alternative for OSHA 30 renewal.
