What is the NYC 22 Hour Supervisor Site Safety Training (SST)?

NYC 22 Hour Supervisor SST is for construction supervisors who already hold both a valid OSHA 30-Hour card (issued within the last 5 years) and a 40-Hour SST Worker Card, and need to complete the final supervisor-specific hours to qualify for the 62-Hour SST Supervisor Card.

The course is required for individuals taking on supervisory roles at NYC construction sites, including those who already hold a Worker SST card and are advancing into positions such as:

What if my OSHA 30-Hour card is older than 5 years but my SST Worker Card is still valid?

  • If your OSHA 30-Hour card is older than 5 years, you cannot enroll in just the 22-Hour SST. You will need to complete 26 hours of training, the 22-Hour Supervisor SST + 4-Hour Fall Prevention course.

Note: In both cases, the OSHA 30-Hour card must not be older than 5 years

If you only have the OSHA 30-Hour card, you should enroll in the 32-Hour Supervisor SST instead.
