As per the Local Law 196, the New York City Department of Buildings has implemented regulations governing construction site safety for both workers and supervisors/managers. Individuals overseeing construction sites, such as Construction Site Safety Managers, Coordinators, or Superintendents, are mandated to undergo 40 hours of specialized training to acquire their Site Safety Training (SST) card.

For those already in possession of a 40 Hour SST card, it is essential to enroll in an 8-hour Refresher course to ensure their card remains current and up-to-date, meeting the necessary compliance standards. Upon successful completion of all required hours, scoring at least 75% on quizzes and final exams, and providing identity verification documents, you'll receive your SST card promptly. Ensure your site safety and meet regulatory standards seamlessly with our SST Worker renewal package.

Training Requirements

In order to get your SST Card you must comply with the following

100% Attendance of the Online Class is Mandatory
Complying with the Compu21 Institute Corp facial biometric requirement for monitoring attendance
Achieve a minimum of 70% in the written assessment at the end of the course
Completion of Evaluation Form at the end of the course

To renew your 40 Hour SST card, you need to take the 8 Hour refresher training every 5 years.

After successful completion of the training you receive the new 40 Hour Site Safety Training Card.

You can use your 4 Hour Scaffold certificate if it’s not more than 12 months old.
