What is the NYC 62-Hour Supervisor Site Safety Training (SST)?

Under Local Law 196 of 2017, all construction managers and supervisors on NYC DOB-regulated job sites must complete 62 hours of approved safety training (including OSHA 30-Hour Construction and 32-Hour Supervisor SST) to qualify for the SST Supervisor Card.

Already have some training completed? You may need fewer hours:

  • If you have your OSHA 30-Hour card (issued within the last 5 years), you may only need the 32-Hour Supervisor SST.
  • If you have both your OSHA 30-Hour card (issued within the last 5 years) and a 40-Hour SST Worker Card, you may only need the 22-Hour Supervisor SST.
